Academic Intervention Services

      In AIS, students gain assistance with reading and math skills in a smaller group setting. Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 are currently preparing for the New York State Reading exam, which they will be taking in January. The students are working very hard and are learning to apply reading strategies when answering reading comprehension questions.

      For math, students work hands-on with manipulatives to expand their understanding of grade level concepts. After the start of the New Year, students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will begin to prepare for the New York State Math exam that is administered in March.
