Student Elections

East Street's 3rd and 4th Grade students assembled to listen to the student council presidential and vice presidential candidates so that they will be informed voters!

                Brush Up for Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten children participated in a dental puppet show brought to East Street by their school nurse,  Mrs. Puerta.  Dental hygienist, Miss Denise, from Dr. Essner's office brought different puppets to teach the children about the importance of taking care of our teeth.
The children learned about all the healthy foods and snacks to eat that would not hurt their teeth.  They also learned how to properly brush their teeth.  Each child went home with a goody bag containing a tooth brush and information on dental care courtesy of Dr. Essner.

   "Fall Into Magic" Reading Program 

Some of our classes that read above and beyond the required reading  made their scarecrows that are displayed around East Street School.

Mrs. Trocchia's class read the most books for 1st Grade.

Mrs. Guintini's class read the required number of books and then some.  They read the most in Second Grade. We made two scarecrows and had so much fun!!.
