A senior citizen, depending upon income, may be entitled to a partial exemption from school district taxes, up to 50% of the assessed valuation of their home. All Hicksville residents who are homeowners and their Hicksville residence is their primary address are eligible for the STAR program. Depending upon income, senior citizens may be eligible for the Enhanced STAR program.
