Free Senior Citizen
Immunization Program
In conjunction with the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs and the Nassau University Medical Center, the Hicksville Union Free School District is again sponsoring a Flu Immunization Program. Held at the Hicksville VFW Hall located at 320 South Broadway on Thursday, November 15th from 9am - 12 noon, the program hopes to help 200 senior citizens obtain their flu shot for the upcoming season. There is no out-of-pocket expense to Hicksville residents aged 60 and over.
Residents interested in receiving an immunization may register at three convenient Hicksville locations: the Hicksville Public Library, the VFW Hall and the Hicksville Gregory Museum during normal business hours starting Monday, October 1st through Wednesday, October 31st. Registration is required - no walk-ins will be accepted on the immunization date. The program accepts appointments made through registration only.
Hicksville Public Schools is honored to support our senior residents by co-sponsoring this valuable program and encourages them to take advantage of this important prevention opportunity.
