All-State String Orchestra
Two Hicksville High School music students have been selected to perform with the New York State School Music Association's All-State String Orchestra at the annual NYSSMA convention on November 29 - December 2, 2007 at the Eastman Concert Hall in Rochester, NY. Justin Feltkamp, a junior bassist in the high school orchestra, was accepted into the String Orchestra, and Grant Zhong, a high school orchestra junior violinist, was accepted as an alternate. Both students were selected as All-State musicians based on their perfect audition scores. The NYSSMA All-State String Orchestra is comprised of 120 selected young musicians from across New York State.
